Some Transparency For Bankers At Last

trust-me-im-a-bankerAt last, some good news today: Bankers salaries and bonusses are to become public information.

A Government backed review body has ruled that all Bankers will have to disclose any personal financial information in order for shareholders to detrmine whether they are getting paid too much. I can tell you the answer to that one!

After the global economic downturn, there has (rightly) been uproar regarding the bonusses paid out to Bankers despite the trouble that many of them have caused.

This will also allow Risk committees to block big transactions if they deem it to be a threat. You can’t help but fel that this is all a little too late, but still, it is a positive move and can at least (in theory) prevent this ever happening again.
